Founder & Head Coach:
Thomas Briggs
Tom was born and raised in Oxford, England where he developed a passion for playing football. Aged 16 Tom moved to Hartpury College to further his studies and playing experiences. During this time Tom developed a passion for sharing his experiences with others.
Tom went onto higher education and graduated in 2019 from Cardiff Metropolitan University with a 1st Class Honors Degree in Sport and Physical Education. During his studies Tom experienced coaching and playing at the elite level in Wales. Completing the UEFA B Licence alongside his role as an Academy coach for Cardiff Met Uni FC.
Tom has since gone onto roles at Oxford United Academy, Oxfordshire Skill Acquisition Academy, and Premier Soccer Centres. Where he has experienced football from all levels of the game, visiting and competing against football clubs such as Liverpool, Southampton, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea. In 2024, Tom completed the FA Advanced Youth Award, a Level 4 qualification exclusive to Academy Coaches at professional clubs.
Tom believes that everyone with the right mindset should have access to professional coaching. Thus, he set up PERFORMIVATE to pass on his experiences to allow everyone to reach their full potential.

At PERFORMIVATE we focus our practices on the fundamental pillars of football. These include; physical, psychological, social, and technical and tactical performance.
We aim to challenge all of our athletes in a style which is suited to them as we understanding that everyone is different.

Our Story
Based in Kennington, Oxford, PERFORMIVATE is a business founded by Thomas Briggs in 2019.
The name PERFORMIVATE comes from a combination of “Perform” and “Elevate” and has been created with the aim of helping people elevate their performances. This is inclusive to athletes aged 6-16 years old of any ability or gender. We help our athletes achieve their full potential by offering tailored services which match their needs.
